Agenda

Session 1
Fleet Industry Update

Provide attendees with an update on new vehicle sales, the used car market and industry trends that are impacting Fleet Managers in 2023.

Session 2
Training – Whole of Life

Cost (WOLC) Calculations Using the IPWEA Plant and Vehicle Management Manual (PVVM) as a reference, attendees with delve into the detail of calculating WOLC for a range of vehicle and plant assets. WOLC calculations should form the basis of procurement decisions for all assets to help organisations manage the financial risk inherent with capital purchases.

From this session, attendees will be able to use WOLC calculations to compare the ownerships costs of petrol and electric vehicles in the development of an Electric Vehicle Transition Plan in Session 6.

Session 3
Fleet Management Case Study

Sharing information from another fleet to gain insight into challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Session 4
Training – Top 10 Fleet Management KPIs

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are used by all organisations to measure performance in key areas. In this session attendees will learn about the main fleet management KPIs and understand how they can be measured using data from different sources. Attendees will also discuss how to share KPIs for their fleet internally to gain support for additional resources, and externally for benchmarking.

From this session, attendees will able to use some of the Top 10 KPIs to right size their fleet in preparation for the development of the an Electric Vehicle Transition Plan in Session 6.

Session 5
Fleet Management Case Study

Sharing information from another fleet to gain insight into challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Session 6
Training – Electric Vehicle Transition Plans

Fleet Managers are the focal point for business sustainability goals because purchasing electric vehicles are seen as the quickest way to reduce CO2 emissions. This is putting pressure on fleet teams to become electric vehicle experts and engage across their organisation to develop electric vehicle transition plans without the proper skills, knowledge or experience.

In this session, attendees be given the framework to develop an EV Transition Plan for their fleet using an asset register, the IPWEA Fleet PVMM and the topics covered in Sessions 1,2 and 4.

Session 7
Fleet Management Case Study

Sharing information from another fleet to gain insight into challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement.
