World Partners in Asset Management – Global Certification Scheme

World_Partners_How_To_CPAM.png

The World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) have recognised the completion of two IPWEA Asset Management Pathway courses listed below, as satisfying the knowledge requirements equivalent to the Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) certification.

This enables IPWEA AM Pathway participants to leverage their educational achievements, when combined with 5-years demonstrated experience in Asset Management, to make an application for the Certified Practitioner in Asset Management (CPAM) designation, and when combined with 8 years demonstrated experience, for the Certified Senior Principal in Asset Management (CSAM) designation via the Global Certification Scheme.

In keeping with its vision of “Globally recognised Asset Management credentials” the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) has developed a framework for alignment of professional credentials in Asset Management to which professional bodies, post-secondary and training institutions around the world can align over time.

The scheme will provide a laddered career path in asset management for individuals who are looking to advance their skills and improve their ability to contribute to the success of the organizations they serve. This competency-based scheme will allow organizations to ensure that the individuals they hire anywhere in the world have the knowledge, skills and experience to apply asset management principles in various contexts.

With the introduction of this framework, the members of the WPiAM are seeking to align worldwide efforts to develop, assess and recognize competence in Asset Management and to establish a system of assurance of quality while respecting the needs for variation of application according to the history and culture of each region in the development of this evolving professional field.

The process for recognizing the equivalence of specific credentials will be administered by the WPiAM. The process to recognize individuals’ accreditation to any of the WPiAM’s framework credentials will be administered by the organisation that owns the certification scheme that has been approved. Each credential will require demonstration of education as well as evidence of competence in practical application.

Australian Graduate School of Management recognises IPWEA’s Professional Certificate in Asset Management Planning

The Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at University of NSW Sydney (UNSW) now recognises the completion of IPWEA’s Professional Certificate in Asset Management Planning as part of its Certificate in Executive and Management and Development professional development pathway.

To achieve the CEMD 12 ‘credit points’ are required. These points are earned by undertaking courses at AGSM. Once complete, a CEMD is awarded, and this can also be used towards credit in one of AGSM’s Graduate Certificate or highly ranked MBA programs.

The information session features our Head of Education Jonathan Jones, together with Tracey Flynn, the Director of Executive Education at the AGSM, who provide all the details of how the ProCert AMP gives you credit towards their CEMD Program.
