Driving Innovation: Collaboration, Comparison, and Creativity
in Fleet Management

In discussion with our fleet community, we’ve identified two major drivers of change in our industry; the first being the need to reduce emissions, and the second is the advancement of technology and the way it impacts our daily operations. To assist fleet practitioners during this period of disruption the 2025 IPWEA Fleet Conference will focus on three key themes:

Collaboration = working together to share solutions and gain efficiencies
Comparison = benchmarking and comparing fleet performance
Creativity = new ideas and creative thinking to solve common challenges

Attending the IPWEA Fleet Conference over three days in March 2025 will showcase the ways in which Collaboration, Comparison and Creativity will steer the fleet community through this exciting period.

IPWEA Fleet Innovation Award

IPWEA Fleet is thrilled to announce the creation of the Fleet Innovation Award, a prestigious recognition dedicated to honouring excellence and innovation in the fleet management industry.

This award has been established to celebrate organisations and individuals to encourage innovation and continuous improvement across the fleet community to promote efficient, effective and safety fleet management practices.

The Fleet Innovation Award will be presented each year at the annual IPWEA Australasian Fleet Conference.

I have a goal to ‘smash’ together a group of intelligent, like-minded, and passionate people from our fleet community at the IPWEA Fleet Conference in 2025 and provide a unique networking experience for fleet practitioners and suppliers to solve challenges together.

With the pressure to reduce fleet emissions, and the increased focus on safety compliance for heavy vehicles and plant, collecting data and the use of artificial intelligence to gain efficiencies is changing the focus for Fleet Managers towards more strategic management of their assets.

I’m looking forward to hearing the case studies from fleet practitioners and learning about the problems they’ve solved through collaboration, comparison, and creative solutions.
