Why did you become an IPWEA Member?

To further increase my networks and support the public works community.

What are the benefits for your role/career?

The overseas study tour in 2008 to American PWX New Orleans really set me on my way to being involved in IPWEA. Serving on the board and attaining the roles of Vice President and President has expanded my knowledge and supported me in my role as Manager Engineering Services at the City of Greater Geelong and now as Senior Advisor Infrastructure Assets. I have also been recognised by my peers in 2017 as the Victorian and Australasian Professional Engineer of the Year.

What would you say to someone considering a membership?

A great opportunity to broaden your network, learn new skills and develop yourself for leadership opportunities.
