Calling Engineers in the Brisbane Area!

By Tahnee Cameron posted 03-06-2015 10:49

The Engineering Link Project is an opportunity for Year 11 and 12 Science, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students to work with professional engineers on day-long projects designed to provide an insight into the engineering profession and encourage them to continue studying maths and science.  The Engineering Link Group has been working with engineers and students for 21 years and have now been running successful projects at QUT (and previously UQ) for the past 16 years.

TELG has a bank of resources and modules across a wide range of disciplines that engineers can facilitate with students.  There is always a teacher present to support the engineer, and the students always participate with excitement and enthusiasm.

TELG running their 16th South Queensland Engineering Link Project at QUT from July 8 to 10, 2015 and they really need your help!

If you are a mechanical (Thur 9th July) or civil (Fri 10th July) engineer and might be willing and able to volunteer a day or you would like more information, please contact Greg Millican (07 31027394 or email greg@telg.com.au).  There are excellent opportunities to promote your organisation as well to over 300 schools through our media releases and other publicity.
