Waverley Council is about to build a new works depot which will include the
mechanical workshop. The new workshop will service and maintain all types of
Council vehicles from Garbage Trucks to Lawn Mowers. The question has been asked
about pits and hoists and the debate is raging. I'm looking for advice.
The
fleet will be approx 30 x 19m3 Gabage compactors, 15 x 3-5tonne tippers, 5 x
mechanical sweepers, 120 x passenger vehicles, 60 x light commercial vehicles,
backhoes and tractors.
- Do we need inspection pits? If so what type do you recommend?
- What ype of hoists?
- Overhead Crane?
-If any one has built a new depot in recent times
any advice or comments most
