Registrations for Rotorua are coming in fast - it looks like being our biggest (not to be missed) conference yet!
Give your team “an invaluable opportunity” to develop their passion for the industry.
IPWEA’s upcoming conference offers the perfect opportunity for younger members of staff to hear about industry best practice from leaders in their field as well as meet with peers and discuss the presentations.
IPWEA’s joint conference with the IFME World Congress on Municipal Engineering will take place in Rotorua, New Zealand from 7-11 June.
Young IPWEA will be overseeing a couple of sessions designed to inform younger delegates about the work of the group and help younger delegates build and share knowledge.
Young IPWEA Chair Kim Sedgwick will host both sessions. She believes the conference is a great opportunity for young professionals to be exposed to different parts of the industry.
“The opportunity for professional development is second to none and they will no doubt value their employers support in them more than anything,” she said.
“Providing such an event for professionals to express their passion about their role in the industry, is an invaluable opportunity.”
Young or old, delegates will be able to choose from eight dedicated content streams that will run concurrently over the course of the event.
More than 176 papers will be presented at the joint conference – a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend both events in one place.
The final day of the event will also hold a number of partner tours, which allow delegates to explore the local area.
Delegates are encouraged to download the conference app by searching for ‘IPWEA Events’ on Google Play or the App Store.
Central to the app is the Scheduler function that allows users to view details of all the sessions and build their own schedule to follow.
Beyond the sessions themselves, ensure you get the most out of the conference by joining the conversation online. Social networking is built in to the app so users can keep abreast of the latest twitter conversations and contribute via the hashtag #IPWEA2015.
