Komatsu Australia, a long-term supporter and sponsor of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, has again signed a two-year Platinum Partner agreement.

Komatsu Australia, a long-term supporter and sponsor of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, has again signed a two-year Platinum Partner agreement.

Komatsu’s relationship with IPWEA began when it sponsored the 2003 IPWEA National Conference gala dinner. It went on to become the first IPWEA Platinum Partner in 2010, consolidating the ongoing relationship.

The Komatsu IPWEA Platinum Partner agreement is primarily built around the Institute’s biennial International Public Works Conference and the IPWEA FLEET Plant and Vehicle Management Program.

As well as being a platinum sponsor of IPWEA’s 2021 International Public Works Conference, Komatsu Australia will have a strong presence at the annual Australasian Fleet Conference. Komatsu will also continue to be involved in the annual IPWEA Fleet Management Workshop series around the country.

Phillip Atley, Komatsu Australia’s National Business Manager, Government and Construction Graders, said that the company had engaged at a high level with IPWEA for the past 17 years.

“It’s been a long-standing relationship that has helped us enormously in our success in the local government sector in Australia and New Zealand

Furthering this engagement is really important as it helps us reach our customers, understand their business and share important information about Komatsu and our leading-edge technological advancements.

IPWEA has always been a very good organisation to be engaged with, it’s a very professional institute, and gives us access to the key decision makers at that critical local government level,” said Atley

Komatsu’s innovative approach and technical know-how provides important information to delegates at the Australasian Conference, Fleet Conference and Fleet Management Workshops and to the industry more generally. The Komatsu team always demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and are great ambassadors for the company.

IPWEA National CEO David Jenkins said the Institute is delighted to be able to announce the on-going and important relationship with Komatsu Australia.

“This is a long-term relationship which demonstrates the consistency and standing of Komatsu in the industry. IPWEA is proud to acknowledge Komatsu as our Platinum Partner and we look forward to working together over the coming years. Komatsu and IPWEA share the same values. It makes working together a great fit” he said.
