IPWEA Australasia President Mat Greskie attended the event.

“The technical content was of the highest quality, current, presented in an interesting way and it showcased the great expertise of public works professionals in and around Albany,” he said.

“The site tour of Albany’s public works highlights included the National Anzac Centre, the Albany Port and waterfront, and the Gap viewing platform. The wet weather didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits with everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves.”

The evening was a chance to socialise and network at the Country Meeting dinner. Guest speaker was Stuart Nahajaski, general manager regional at LandCorp.

“The closing event was the most fun I’ve had in a long time,” said Greskie.

“Honestly, you might have thought there were 600 people in the room, not 60. The South West branch members really know how to have a great time.”
