The Heart Foundation has commissioned a research project on cost effective innovation in footpath construction and provision.

In particular, they are seeking input of knowledge and resources from relevant experts in order to inform an initial literature review component of the project, focusing on:

  • Which researchers or companies are trialling new technologies?
  • Can changes in design standards help lower costs?
  • What examples can be found in Australian cities and regions, or around the world?
  • Do you know of any articles, reports, case studies or news stories relevant to this topic?
They are also seeking the attendance of relevant industry, policy, and research experts at a half-day workshop to be held in September or October 2018 in Adelaide, dependent on attendee numbers and availability. This workshop will provide the attendees the opportunity to network, share and inspire new ideas, meet and mingle with innovative companies and professionals and engage in thought provoking innovation discussions.

The outcome of this workshop will contribute to a resource base that will guide the Heart Foundation in their nation-wide advocacy for healthier built environments.

If you or someone you know would be interested in attending the workshop, or contributing knowledge and resources, please contact Nick Wilson from Jensen PLUS on (08) 8338 5511 or at nw@jensenplus.com.au
