NHVR has advised that 1 October 2018 is the date Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) will be amended to provide that every party in the heavy vehicle transport supply chain has a duty to ensure the safety of their transport activities.

Rob_wilson_b_w.jpgThe anticipation of these changes has impacted organisations in various ways, depending on their current systems and the organisations approach to managing compliance. For many though, the need to implement a rigorous Safety Management System has been challenging with many indicating to me that they need more support and guidance.

It is with this need in mind that IPWEA has partnered with Latus to develop CORSaMS – the Chain of Responsibility Safety Management System. CORSaMS consists of frameworks, policies, procedures, training materials, auditing and certification all designed to assist organisations meet CoR obligations.

IPWEA will be running Chain of Responsibility – Pathway to Compliance workshops around Australia commencing August 2018 to provide a detailed explanation of the changes, what you need to do to meet your CoR obligations and how CORSaMS can be used as a pathway to compliance. Check for your nearest session here.
