Two upcoming events go hand-in-hand to get you smart city ready.

Barcelonaresized.jpgIPWEA, Austrade, Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ), and Australian Smart Communities Association (ASCA) have combined to present a whole-of-industry AUS/NZ delegation for a fully-hosted immersion tour of the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, 10-18 November 2018.

This tour has been researched by IPWEA and was attended last year by Austrade with amazing feedback. IPWEA’s hosting this year will feature private key side meetings with international experts, fully guided tour of Barcelona’s smart city initiatives, a comprehensive global review with SCC management team, recommended exhibitions to visit, best presentations to attend – and, with all costs up-front and included.

This immersion tour (limited to 30 people) is structured for mayors, council GMs/CEOs, road utility executives, and private sector consultancies seeking to gain the maximum exposure from the latest technological advances in street lighting and smart controls as this integrated system becomes the very DNA and backbone of our emerging smart communities. More than 20,000 visitors, 650 exhibitions, 140 countries and  50+ presentations means that those who attend this IPWEA hosted Smart City Expo World Congress, Barcelona tour will be getting the absolute best, first-hand experience to help shape their decision making process for the smart and connected cities of the future.

The 4th International Street Lighting + Smart Controls Conference

The 4th International Street Lighting + Smart Controls Conference with the theme of Get Smart City Ready will be held 2-4 April 2019 at the International Convention Centre, Sydney. The conference will bring the best of the world’s technology and proven experience to AUS/NZ.  Presented in conjunction with SLP New Zealand, this conference takes delegates from the LED phase which was such an outstanding success in Brisbane in 2017, to learn more about smart controls integration, data management, CMS, calling for tenders, aggregation to achieve critical mass, and how to fund your intended deployments. The industry has moved on since 2017 and now you need to know what to do in planning for the next phase.

Whereas only 30 people can attend and experience the Barcelona Expo, we expect around 250 to be in attendance at the 2019 SL+SC conference. In addition, exhibitors will be showcasing the latest in technology as it applies to Australia and New Zealand. One of our conference organisers has just been to the US and Europe, and is currently in the UK talking to and securing the world’s best presenters to bring to Sydney for our conference. Anyone who attended the 2017 Brisbane conference will attest to the high quality international and local speakers that presented.

There you have it: two of the absolute top-shelf  events to help you plan out and deliver your smart city and connected communities strategy. Book them into your diary. Put them into your budgets.

Those wanting to be seen and acknowledged as leaders who deliver results on smart and connected cities will attend both events.
