Technical Committee 251, which is responsible for the ISO 55000 series of asset management system standards, has launched its own dedicated website home page.

This site addresses the latest developments by TC 251 as it seeks to expand the large body of knowledge that already exists related to Asset Management. TC 251 Mission is as follows:

• Promote the benefits of Asset Management externally and internally
• Receive feedback and advance the discipline of Asset Management
• Align and develop new products to improve and expand the understanding of Asset Management
• The website provides a wealth of information as to what the Standards are about, why they should be utilised and the benefits that can flow. It addresses issues such as auditing against the Standards, and what is currently being developed by way of enhancements.

Keep an eye out for articles about to be published on the website on topics such as how to improve alignment between technical and financial functions within organisations.
