NAMS – IPWEA Australasia’s National Asset Management Strategy – is the peak national body providing asset management leadership, intellectual gravitas, policy development, information and training to the Australian infrastructure industry through IPWEA.
Two vacancies currently exist for specialist firms in the infrastructure asset management portfolio to nominate to sit on the NAMS consultant supporters round table.
The RoundTable advises NAMS AU on current industry issues and future direction for research and development. It is the conduit between industry needs and IPWEA deliverables. The RoundTable meets annually (Melbourne) and interacts with NAMS AU on current infrastructure asset management projects, new initiatives and policy development.
NAMS was established in 1992 to research and publish the National Asset Management Manual, one of the first in the world. The work of NAMS AU is now respected worldwide.
There is a partnership alliance between NAMS AU, NAMS NZ and NAMS Canada through IPWEA. The NAMS AU Committee sets the direction and policy for IPWEA in asset management leading such flagship publications as the IIMM and the AIFMM, together with the raft of practice notes and codes issued under the banner of IPWEA.
Suitably qualified firms wishing to nominate to join the round table should ensure that their nominee possesses high level competencies and skills across the infrastructure asset management portfolio. Funding contributions of $5000 pa (plus GST) from each of the NAMS consultant supporters round table members ensures that the research and resourcing of the work of NAMS AU is able to be continued for the benefit of the asset management industry.
Round table members receive a copy of all new NAMS AU publications such as the IIMM 2015, AIFMM 2015 and practice notes as part of their partnership benefits.
As part of the exclusive peer reviewing panel of experts, you will have input into shaping the future of Australia’s asset management practices.
