IPWEA has delivered its first Asset Management for Small Communities Workshops in Canada.
IPWEA was invited by the Ministry's of Municipal Affairs in British Columbia (BC) and also Saskatchewan to pilot workshops of our NAMS.PLUS lite tools for Canadian municipalities. The 2 three day workshops were held in the Town of Golden BC and in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
By the end of the 3 day workshops communities had a 'first cut' asset management plan. There were 4 communities from each of BC and SK at the workshops.
Feedback from the Workshops was very positive.
David Allen from the Town of Golden and Allen Mapstone one of IPWEA's presenters were invited in for a radio interview at Radio Golden to discuss the workshops. IPWEA's other presenter in Canada was John Howard.
