The principal purpose of the organisation is to provide member services and advocacy for persons involved and delivering public works and services. The following documents our constitution:
Code of Ethics
As public works practitioners, we use our knowledge and skills for the benefit of the community to create public works solutions for a sustainable future. In doing so, we strive to serve the community ahead of other personal or sectoral interests.
The IPWEA National Board adopted the following Code of Ethics (Adopted 24 June 2011) which defines the values and principles that shape the decisions we make in public works practice.
The related Guidelines on Professional Conduct provide a framework for members of IPWEA to use when exercising their judgement in the practice of public works.
The Code of Ethics is an adaptation of the Code of Ethics of Engineers Australia.
