Asset management study tour slated for NZ in November

Asset management practitioners in Australia will have the opportunity to learn from their New Zealand counterparts on a six-day study tour planned for November this year.

The tour is being in organised by IPWEA NAMS.AU in partnership with NAMS NZ and includes attendance at the 2012 NAMS NZ International Asset Management Conference on 19-20 November.

The tour will also visit the NZ Office of the Auditor General, Auckland Council, Tauranga City Council, Western Bay of Plenty District Council, the NZ Transport Agency and Hamilton City Council. It will run from 18-23 November.

There will also be an introductory dinner on the first evening in Auckland to set the tone for the tour. The tour will include an overview of current AM issues from auditing, the changing ‘drivers’ for AM improvement, community plans and levels of service and other innovative AM implementations.

The theme for the Conference is Asset Management at the Crossroads.

The tour costs $3,000 per person (plus GST) and includes hotel accommodation, meals, bus/coach transportation, council visits, Conference Registration and tour planning and organisation expenses. Attendees will have to make their own flight arrangements to and from New Zealand.
