IPWEA FLEET Manager’s Column: Thanks for a great conference

Professional development is critical for all professionals. Not just because it provides us with new skills and keeps us up to date with trends and innovation, but also because it can energise us, encourage us to see things differently and provide stronger links to the industry.

IMG_1948.jpgIt was with this professional development mindset that IPWEA held its third annual Australasian Fleet Conference in Brisbane on 25–27 March 2019.

It is encouraging that the event continues to grow with increasing numbers of delegates, sponsors and exhibitors. The conference program focused on strategy, resources and performance and each session provided thought leadership, ideas and solutions for delegates to apply back in their operation.

Delegates had the opportunity to catch up with suppliers in the exhibition hall and there was plenty of opportunity to meet and greet colleagues at breakfast sessions and networking events on Monday and Tuesday night. The conference was topped off with a field trip to Komatsu and Volvo in Wacol. It is heartening to see these organisations manufacturing locally and the associated jobs and economic benefits this brings.

Thanks to all our delegates, sponsors and exhibitors for being part of the conference and don’t forget to save 16-18 March for the IPWEA Australasian Fleet Conference 2020 – back in Brisbane for another great professional development opportunity.
