The Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress is the world's biggest and most influential smart city event. Each year it attracts over 25,000 delegates from around the world, more than 1000 exhibitors, and over 600 speakers, who gather to share their vision on how to build a more sustainable and liveable urban future.

This year's event will focus on eight main tracks touching on the most pressing issues facing communities: Enabling Technologies, Energy & Environment, Mobility, Governance, Living & Inclusion, Economy, Infrastructure & Building and Safety & Security.

The Smart City Expo World Congress aims to showcase the intelligent solutions that are shaping our modern era, highlighting their role in fostering thriving cities while creating safer, greener, and highly efficient urban environments.

Enter the Draw to Win

  • A free all access pass to the biggest Smart Cities event in the world, worth more than $2000.
    • Access to the full speaking program and expo.
    • A ticket to the official awards ceremony & party.
    • Access to a range of side events.
  • A pre-event briefing for attendees 6 weeks prior the event led by people who have previously attended the Congress.
  • IPWEA-hosted high-level meetings with key industry stakeholders.
  • IPWEA-hosted daily evening debrief with IPWEA CEO during the event.

Draw Criteria

  • Must be a valid IPWEA or IPWEA Aotearoa Member. Not a member? Join IPWEA here.
  • Must have the ability, willingness and any required approvals to travel to Barcelona for the duration of the event.
  • Winners are solely responsible for all other costs of their participation in this event including but not limited to air travel, ground transport, accommodation, meals and incidental expenses.
  • The Promotion begins at 12:01 AM AEST on Tuesday 8th August and ends at 11:59 PM AEST on Tuesday 12th September 2023.
  • The draw will take place at 12pm on Wednesday 13th September with recipients notified by Friday 15th September 2023.
