IPWEA 2016 Sustainability in Public Works Conference Following the success of IPWEA's 2014 Sustainability in Public Works conference in Tweed Heads, NSW, the 2016 conference in Melbourne will bring together local council practitioners, contractors, researchers, consultants, and service and product providers, to focus on what we should be doing today to better manage our public infrastructure and the vital services it provides to our local communities. Over the two days of presentations, panel discussions and networking the conference will help busy professionals make sense of recent and current sustainability and climate change developments. Further, it will generate ideas, useable knowledge and practical measures that can be applied straight away to make local infrastructure more resilient and better able to continue meeting community needs into the future. The sub-themes for the conference will be Sustainable Infrastructure, Sustainable Communities and Responding to Climate Change. About 180-220 delegates from around Australia and New Zealand are expected to attend the conference.
