If so, for which type of developments:
All?
Large developments? all residential, commercial and industrial except water for industrial unless the size is known
Small (2 lots)? usually unless its a LU with a BC as well, then the drainlayer can do the stormwater and wastewater (subject to skills and qualifications). Council does the water supply
Which council do you represent? Waipa District Council
Other comments? 2 lots need to be treated with flexibility to ensure council is being fair and reasonable. To require a seperate sw connection and its costs to the boundary and then require the developer to mobilise to lay some more pipe to the dwelling could be seen as unfair.

Subject: Drainage (and water) connections at the time of subdivision - What do you require?
Hi all,
Just a quick survey, can you let me know if you require drainage and water connections at the time of subdivision?
If so, for which type of developments:
All?
Large developments?
Small (2 lots)?
Which council do you represent?
Other comments?
Why I ask, is that here in Invercargill we have historically not required sewer and storm connections for 2 lot subdivisions, in all cases, at the time of subdivision. It ends up being a requirement at the time of building consent. However, from my previous experience I feel that is outside the norm. For large developments we do require them, but not for small 2 lot infill development.
