Chris Champion and Ross Vincent honoured at PWX

Two IPWEA stalwarts have received international recognition at the American Public Works Association’s 6000-strong PWX conference in Kansas City, Missouri.

IMG_5003cropped.jpgFormer IPWEA CEO and current Director International Chris Champion and former IPWEA NZ CEO Ross Vincent were the toast of the international public works community when the awards were presented by APWA Immediate Past President Bo Mills on August 28 at the AWPA Awards Ceremony. About 20 countries were represented among the conference delegates. 

Champion was on hand to collect the APWA International Partnership Recognition Award, “in appreciation and recognition for many years of commitment and service to the advancement of the international public works profession.”

Vincent was honoured with the International Federation of Municipal Engineering (IFME) 2018 International Leadership Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the engineering industry. IPWEA NZ President Samantha Gain collected the award in Vincent’s absence. Read more about his outstanding contribution to the public works industry here.
