Registrations are now open! Full Conference Details here.

We can't wait to see you there!

Registrations are now open for the 2024 State Conference "Collaborate. Innovate. Celebrate".

The IPWEA WA Conference is the leading public works engineering event on the Western Australian calendar and it is attended by participants from all areas of public works. It provides a great opportunity to promote your organisation and yourself to delegates who attend this event.

The State Conference also offers the opportunity to create & strengthen relationships between people and organisations.

The Program includes full and engaging days of keynote speakers, concurrent technical presentations that cover a wide range of public works and services and includes numerous networking opportunities. The event will help busy professionals identify ideas for future focus, collect knowledge and practical measures that can be applied straight away to make a real difference in the workplace.

It is well known that one of the most important benefits derived from attending conferences is what we learn from our colleagues in one on one interaction, and this will always remain a focus of the conference committee.

See what Deputy President & Chair of the Conference Committee, Luke McGuirk, has to say about the 2024 Conference!

Can’t attend in person? No problems, we’ve got you covered! Our interactive online streaming platform will allow delegates to attend sessions from the comfort of their home or office. Recording of sessions will allow us to provide on demand access to training after the event.

If you are unable to physically join us at the Conference, you can still have the same Conference experience by booking a livestreaming option.

If you are based in a regional area and want to see how the livestreaming works before you book, contact Cathy, our Office & Events Manager to arrange a viewing of sessions using the livestreaming platform - we are more than happy to show you how it works.

Shared Registrations - Onsite only
Shared registrations are available for this event for up to 4 people attending onsite. This option provides great value for money, as well as the option to send different staff members to sessions specific to their requirements. The number of people able to attend is up to a maximum of 4 and is dependent on the number of sessions selected for attendance. If you need help working this out, please contact our Office & Events Manager.

Shared Registrations - Organisations (livestreaming only)
Need to provide for a large number of staff but don’t have your usual budget to do so?
No problems! This very special option just for organisations allows you to cater for a large number of staff, or even entire departments, for a very cost effective price, from the comfort of your boardroom. This option is only available via livestreaming, standard shared registrations are applicable for those attending onsite and are outlined above.

Our livestreaming platforms allows us to provide exhibitors with an online exhibition area, allowing exhibitors and delegates to chat with each other, make appointments, and check out new products - just like you’re standing in front of each other! This option is included as part of all exhibition packages.

The Networking Dinner this year will be held at Bathers Beach House. With stunning panoramic views of the beach and the Indian Ocean, delegates can soak in the ambience over a drink or two while chatting with your colleagues and enjoying dinner.

The State Conference includes the presentation of the IPWEA Excellence Awards at the Gala Dinner on Friday evening, and we encourage you all to attend the dinner and celebrate in the industry's successes.

The State Conference also provides opportunities for grants from the Public Works Engineering Foundation for financially-constrained members, especially those from regional and remote local governments. Please see the website ( for details, or contact
