Asset Management Special Interest Group

Objectives of the SIG

The Subcommittee is to:

  1. Encourage member and target external groups’ interest in asset management - eg LGA (SA) and LGFMG
  2. Develop and implement a workplan and communications strategy for members and target external groups
  3. Develop and encourage collaboration between members and key stakeholders on asset management
  4. Establish proactive asset management strategies - eg maturity assessments, digital AMPs, GIS
  5. Encourage professional development for IPWEA SA members in asset management - eg Australasia education
  6. Provide a direct link to the IPWEA Asset Management Committee (formerly NAMS Australasia) and develop a work plan and communication strategy which aligns with the AM Committee’s strategic direction.

Concrete Pipes Special Interest Group

Objectives of the SIG

  1. Engage a consultant to explore ways to assist the industry in minimising pre and post constructions defects
  2. Monitor the progress of the consultancy
  3. Develop guideline documentation suitable to inform the industry with regard to minimising damage, how damages are to be assessed and rectifying damage to pipes
  4. Develop a training program to ensure the industry is well informed
