John Comrie
Director at JAC Comrie Pty Ltd

John is a former head of the South Australian Government’s Office for State/Local Government Relations and prior to that the Local Government Association of South Australia.

For the past 14 years he has consulted and conducted training courses nationally, focussing on local government financial sustainability issues.

He is a co-author of IPWEA’s Australian Infrastructure Financial Management Manual and written other guidelines material and conducted training courses for IPWEA to assist councils with financial sustainability and asset management.

Allen Maptstone
Director Strategic Asset Management, IPWEA

Allen has an honours degree in civil engineering along with management qualifications.

Having spent close to 30 years’ experience in the government sector Allen has a broad range of experience including survey, design, construction and planning. Following the introduction of accrual accounting for infrastructure in Australia, Allen developed a keen interest in asset management planning, which became a full-time role from 2006.
