Understanding public works roles and responsibilities

Designed for engineers, technical officers and supervisors

Public works engineering professionals are responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of community infrastructure and typically employed by state government agencies or local Councils.

This course has been developed for emerging leaders and recent entrants to the public works sector to build familiarity with the unique nature, responsibilities and opportunities of a career in public works engineering.

The course is presented by IPWEA Victoria’s eight Foundations course partners with additional expertise provided by specialists from LGPro, ALDE and experienced local government leader Mark Varmalis.
