2026 Program Overview

Time
Session
12:30pm – 4:00pm
Site Tour: City of Gold Coast – Commercial Vehicle Safety Project
In November 2020, a serious incident occurred at the City of Gold Coast involving a heavy vehicle that triggered a major review of heavy vehicle safety. The City committed to an enforceable undertaking and has spent almost $3.8 million on rectifications and safety improvements. During the 2027 Fleet Conference Site Tour, delegates will visit the City of Gold Coast depot to see how these lessons have been turned into practical engineering controls, training and safer fleet operating practices.
6:00pm – 9:00pm
Fleet Welcome Lounge; Sponsored by FleetGuru
The IPWEA Fleet Conference starts the way an industry event should, by bringing people together. In 2027, the Fleet Welcome Lounge is sponsored by FleetGuru.ai, and as Gold Coast locals, they are planning an event designed to give delegates a memorable start to the conference. It is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with fleet peers, suppliers and industry colleagues in a casual, informal setting before the formal program begins.
For many delegates, these conversations are where some of the most valuable connections are made, making the Welcome Lounge one event you will not want to miss.

There is always a theme to the night, and in 2027 delegates can expect a Casino Royale atmosphere as the conference celebrates the people and organisations helping to lift fleet management standards. Sunset Drinks
For many delegates, the conference does not really end when the final session finishes on Wednesday afternoon. Rather than rushing straight back to the daily grind, many stay an extra night to reflect on what they have heard, continue important conversations and enjoy the Gold Coast. In 2027, IPWEA is adding Sunset Drinks by the ocean, hosted at one of the Gold Coast's relaxed waterfront venues. With the sea breeze, a summer evening and no presentations or panel sessions to get through, it is an informal opportunity to keep the conversations going, compare notes from the previous three days and spend more time with the people who make the IPWEA Fleet community so valuable.
Time
Session
6:30am
Beach Walk
Meet in the hotel foyer
8:00am – 9:00am
Recovery Breakfast
Before leaving the Gold Coast, delegates will have one final opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle and connect with the fleet community. On Thursday morning, join fellow delegates for a relaxed walk along the beach, followed by coffee and pastries at a local café. There is no agenda and no formal program — just a final chance to talk through the week, exchange ideas, strengthen new relationships and say goodbye before heading home. It is a fitting way to finish a conference where the conversations between sessions can be just as valuable as the sessions themselves.
