Join us for an afternoon of networking and presentations when YIPWEA and TPA bring together Government leaders, transport professionals, and sustainability specialists to explore how South Australia can deliver greener streets, connected communities, and smarter transport networks. We’ll commence with lightning talks from local speakers, then head outside for the annual ‘SA lawn bowls championship’ and networking.

Planning for Safer Connected Bicycle Networks

John is a Civil Engineer and Transport Planner with over 40 years’ experience in planning integrated transport systems that includes infrastructure concept planning for safer bicycle networks. Most recently, he has developed bicycle network plans with stakeholder and community engagement-led outcomes for various Councils across South Australia, with the most recent Councils including City of Burnside, City of Prospect, Light Regional Council and City of Tea Tree Gully.

Andrew King is a long‑serving engineering leader at the City of West Torrens, with nearly two decades shaping how the council delivers stormwater, and climate‑resilient infrastructure. He’s also a well‑known figure in the stormwater community and contributed to multiple state working groups and technical committees. This makes him one of SA’s most connected and influential voices in practical green infrastructure delivery. City of West Torrens currently have many showcase projects underway including urban greening and tree strategies.
