Images showing the devastating effects of chemical weapons deployed in the Syrian conflict and the millions facing famine in East Africa have shocked the world. 

On May 5, international emergency response agency RedR Australia’s Wear Red for RedR fundraiser presents an opportunity to stand up and show your solidarity for people affected by disasters around the globe.

IPWEA Australasia was a co-founder of RedR Australia, which mobilises the right people with the right skills to make a difference when disasters strike. We are proud to be supporting this charity which currently has experts in water and sanitation, education and child protection supporting hundreds of thousands of refugees from the Syrian war in Jordan and Lebanon and a logistician in Turkey helping supply relief items to those still inside Syria. They have also deployed people to the World Food Programme, the United Nations Children’s Fund and Food and Agricultural Organisation in Africa to support those affected by the food crisis and famine in Africa.
