Road Safety Victoria

In partnership with state government departments, non-government organisations and industry, the Construction Trucks and Community Safety Project provides new tools and ways of working to improve safety for pedestrians, bicycle riders and motorcyclists. The project aims to keep the community safe during construction periods. A number of contract clauses have been developed to help improve safety outcomes for bicycle riders, pedestrians and motorcyclists. These clauses cover requirements pertaining to truck safety features, truck driver training, temporary traffic management and the use of a route selection tool.
