Refunds and Cancellations:
All cancellations must be made in writing (via email) to the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) at admin@ipwea.org
Substitute delegates can be nominated and accepted with no additional fee.
Registration fees will be refunded less a 25% cancellation fee prior to 14 Mar 2023. No refund is payable due to delegate withdrawal following this date.
If due to Government restriction relating to COVID-19 the conference can not proceed on the planned dates, the conference will in the first instance be postponed to a future date. If the alternate date does not suit the registered delegate a full refund will be provided.
If an alternate date for the conference is not able to be established a virtual event will be held in its place. Delegates will receive a refund of the difference in cost between the conference registration fee and the virtual event fee. Alternatively, the delegate may request a full refund.
Please note that cancellation fees will apply whether or not payment is received at the time of registration. By submitting your registration, you are agreeing to these conditions.
Privacy Policy:
IPWEA complies with all legislation which is designed to protect the rights of the individual to privacy of their information, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Information collected with respect to your registration for participation in this Conference will only be used for the purposes of planning, conduct of the event or communication regarding future events. These details may be made available to parties directly related to the Conference including but not limited to the venue, key sponsors (subject to strict conditions) and other related parties as deemed necessary. It is also usual practice to produce a ‘Delegate List’ of attendees at the Conference and to include the individual’s details in such a list. By registering to attend this Conference, you acknowledge that the details supplied by you may be used for the above purposes. It is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided to IPWEA is accurate and kept up to date. To access or update your information, please email admin@ipwea.org
Photography:
By attending this Conference, you grant IPWEA the right to use your image and likeness for marketing and promotional purposes, unless you specifically request removal of the photo or video in writing by emailing your details, the photos details and the Conference name to admin@ipwea.org detailing your request.
Liability/Insurance:
In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, the IPWEA cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by the delegates. The IPWEA and the Organising Committee take no responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the Conference. All insurance, including medical cover, or expenses incurred in the event of the cancellation of the Conference is the individual delegate’s responsibility. Delegates are encouraged to choose a travel insurance policy that includes loss of fees / deposits through cancellation of your participation in the Conference, or through the cancellation of the Conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The IPWEA will take no responsibility for any participant failing to insure.
Dietary Requirements:
We cater for guests who require a vegetarian, gluten free meal or food allergies (such as nut, shellfish or egg). However, any lifestyle meal requests may be subject to a menu surcharge. All dietary requirements need to pre-arranged at least 7 days prior to the commencement of the conference.
Shared Registrations:
Please note one registration form with payment must be received per attendee. Shared registrations are not permitted due to legal and insurance reasons. Part registration rates are available should you be unable to attend the full conference.
Force Majeure:
IPWEA shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.
In this clause, Force Majeure* means circumstances which are beyond the reasonable control of the IPWEA and which are reasonably likely to affect IPWEA’s successful delivery of the Event or would make it inadvisable, impracticable, illegal, or impossible for a party to perform its obligations as originally contracted under this Agreement, including: fire, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, collapse of building structures, widespread disease or other public health emergency (including pandemic or epidemic*), strike or other industrial action, the outbreak or declaration of war, act of terrorism, revolution or government orders or action (including the declaration of a State of Emergency).
If, as a result of Force Majeure, IPWEA cancels the Event/s, IPWEA shall use reasonable commercial endeavours to reschedule the Event.
Without prejudice to its obligations IPWEA accepts no liability and will not be liable for any compensation where the performance of its obligations under this Agreement is affected by Force Majeure.
