Registrations Now Open!

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to invite you to register for the IPWEA Western Australia’s 2018 Public Works Training Week from Monday 12 - Friday 16 November at The Rise in Maylands.

This signature event for Public Works in WA is, as always, aimed at contributing towards the personal growth and continuous development of industry professionals working in this space.

This is also the Institute’s singular, most significant training event in Western Australia.  It covers a wide range of topics and allows senior managers the opportunity to nominate their younger staff members to attend and expand their knowledge and skills-base, along with networking opportunities that allow them time to meet and interact with their peers from other organisations and work environments.

The committee always work hard to ensure that the program allows attendees to walk away with practical, hands on training that can be easily implemented into the work place, and that it includes an excellent line-up of presenters, and a large range of topics.

The Public Works Training Week was designed with “younger” staff in mind, although “older” staff are more than welcome to attend. It is also aimed at new staff and those in the administration, supervisory, technical and operations areas of public works.

While the role of Public Works professionals continues to expand in a changing work and economic environment – where the industry, as a whole, faces more challenges and the need to keep up with changing technologies than ever before – training becomes even more important for people’s career growth and development.  With change comes new challenges, and Public Works professionals will need to convert them into opportunities, using a whole range of new and improved skills.

This is why the Public Works Training Week is designed to expand and enhance capabilities.  As such, I request senior managers nominate as many delegates as possible to attend this event – especially younger professionals embarking on a career in public works.

Shared registrations are available for this event, allowing great value for money, and the option to send different staff members to sessions specific to their requirements.
