Full Title: Information Forum: Beyond Concrete: How Travel Plans Can Be Used To Support Optimal Use Of Transport & Community Infrastructure

Travel plans are plans for managing how people access a site. They are a way to engage site managers or employers in moderating their transport impacts and contributing to balanced and sustainable mobility.

This workshop will introduce travel plans and policy mechanisms currently used to secure them. Local case studies will illustrate actions and outcomes for a range of situations, including plans mandated through the development approval process. Issues with travel plans and recommendations for success will be covered.

With urban growth and community concern about traffic and the environment, travel plans can be used by local authorities to promote transport policy goals, ensuring that transport infrastructure is well used and community facilities are easily accessed.
