Welcome to the 2023 Engineers Country Weekend in Swan Hill. Each year we visit a region in Victoria and enjoy friendship and fellowship with other Engineers, their friends and families.
We endeavour to work with Engineering Heritage Victoria to look at significant Engineering feats.
Swan Hill Region on the Murray River, a bustling agricultural hub, with Swan Hill City at its centre.
Just three and a half hours north-west of Melbourne and five and a half hours from Adelaide, the Swan Hill region is renowned for its Murray River location, fresh local produce, epic landscapes, Australian native wildlife and Aboriginal heritage. The region runs alongside the majestic Murray River and features changing landscapes, thriving farms, and historic townships like Lake Boga, Nyah/Nyah West, Woorinen and the regional centre of Robinvale.
“The weekend will include time at the former WW2 Catalina Flying Boat Base, Lake Boga. The investigation, consultation and environmental issues being enacted to locate and construct a replacement Murray River Bridge crossing will be-a feature of the weekend.” We offer you the opportunity to visit the Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement Museum as well as the “Heart of the Murray Sound and Light” event.

Cost
- Cost for the weekend will be $185.00pp for adults.
- Does not include meal Friday night or Pioneer Settlement Museum, Heartbeat of the Murray or Catalina Museum entry.
Accommodation
- Accommodation for the weekend is to be organised by the attendees.
- PLEASE book your accommodation at the same time as registering for the event.
- NO Accommodation has been pre-booked for this event.
Some of the events in 2023, will be a pay as you go, so you can opt in and out, however, we will need to have numbers to book in at some venues.
