- Technical Tour - Tour Starts 8:45am
Venue: GATEWAY HOTEL
Address: 14 Fenton Street, Devonport 7130
Travelling in luxury aboard Smith’s Travel coaches, we’ll see sections of the Coastal Pathway - soon to stretch from Wynyard to Latrobe. We’ll stop off at the Dial Regional Sports Complex at Penguin to showcase the $10.5m expansion development which opened in March this year. You will see the height of the 2106 floodwaters in the historic town of Latrobe - at one time, Tasmania’s third largest settlement. Lunch will be provided at the Axemen’s Hall of Fame where you will hear about the pioneers of the industry and the people who have succeeded in the sport. You will have the chance to stretch out on the lush grass, under the beautiful trees at Latrobe’s picturesque Bells Parade. The tour concludes around 3:30 pm at the Gateway Hotel.
