Content

Maintenance of water sensitive urban design assets (WSUD) is regularly identified as a major barrier to the broad adoption of green infrastructure solutions. This presentation will provide solutions to common technical challenges with WSUD asset design, construction and maintenance and a suite of resources currently under development to support maintenance programs that will ensure WSUD assets function as intended and extend their serviceable life.

This presentation from Water Sensitive SA will address the following issues:

  • Asset maintenance and budgets – what SA practitioners are telling us
  • Draft Inspection and maintenance guidelines – Biofilters, compliant with IPWEA Practice Note 5 Stormwater Drainage
  • Tips for successful raingarden projects – design and maintenance
  • Tips for successful permeable paving projects – design and maintenance
  • How to access resources to deliver better WSUD projects.
