The SA-NT Chapter of the Australian Geomechanics Society is pleased to announce that its annual symposium will be held on Monday 28th October 2019. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Tunnelling under Adelaide”.
The SA Government is currently considering the viability of tunnelling options for the remaining sections of the strategic North-South Corridor, design and construction of which will be the biggest single infrastructure project in South Australia’s history. The symposium is supported by the Australian Tunnelling Society and aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the geotechnical aspects of tunnelling in soil in urban areas.
Stephan Knoll, MP and SA Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government will give an address to the Symposium. Keynote international speakers include Michael King and Dr Oskar Sigl. Refer flyer attached for event program.
The symposium flyer and registration form can be accessed via the AGS website.
