1. Introduction: This promotional giveaway ("Promotion") is operated by The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia Limited ("the Company"), located at Suite 6:03, Level 6, 99 Walker St, North Sydney, Australia 2122. By participating in this Promotion, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Eligibility: This Promotion is open to all current IPWEA Members as at the end of the Promotion Period and including Australian, New Zealand and International Members aged 18 years or over. Employees, agents, directors, and immediate family members of the Company, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to participate. Participants must have the ability and willingness to travel to Barcelona, Spain for the duration of the event.
3. Promotion Period: The Promotion begins at 12:01 AM AEST on Tuesday 8th August and ends at 11:59 PM AEST on Tuesday 12th September ("Promotion Period").
4. How to Enter: To enter the Promotion, participants must enter their full name, title, organisation, email, phone, and address into the provided form. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase the chances of winning. You can only enter the promotion once.
5. Prizes: The prize will be awarded to 5 individuals who will each receive an all-access pass to the Smart City Expo World Congress event to be held on 7-9 November 2023, at Fira Barcelona. The Prize is transferable to another current IPWEA Member (if agreed by IPWEA in writing) and attendee is confirmed before 24th October. The prize is non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Winners are solely responsible for all other costs of their participation in this event including but not limited to air travel, ground transport, accommodation, meals and incidental expenses.
6. Winner Selection and Notification: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The drawing will be conducted within 1 day after the end of the Promotion Period on Wednesday 13th September, 2023. Winners will be notified via supplied contact details within 2 days of the drawing. If a winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within 5 business days from the time the award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner selected.
7. General Conditions: The Company reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion should any virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Promotion. The Company also reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion should the event be cancelled, or the event organisers change the terms under which the Prizes are provided for any reason.
8. Limitations of Liability: By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Company, its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from such participant’s participation in the Promotion and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the Prize.
9. Disputes: This Promotion is governed by the laws of New South Wales. As a condition of participating in this Promotion, the participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in New South Wales having jurisdiction.
10. Privacy: Any personal information supplied by you will be subject to the privacy policy of the Company posted at www.ipwea.org. By entering the Promotion, you grant the Company permission to share your email address and any other personally identifiable information with the other Promotion Entities for the purpose of administration and prize fulfillment.
