Nominations are invited for the following IPWEA NZ Board and Branch Chair positions for which the terms will commence at the completion of the 2020 AGM on 25 September, 2020.
ELECTED BOARD MEMBERSWE INVITE NOMINATIONS for the following IPWEA NZ Board positions for which the terms will commence at the completion of the 2020 AGM on 25 September 2020.
To be eligible for election to the Board, nominees must be current financial members of IPWEA NZ (including nominated members of Corporate Members) or Life Members. No member shall be eligible to stand for more than one position on the Board. Note that Branch Chairs are members of the Board by virtue of holding that position.
The current Board has indicated a preference of diversity and skills in the make-up of the Board given the changing public works environment.
ELECTED BOARD MEMBERS (4)
- Three (3) members to be elected for a two-year term
- One (1) vacancy for a one-year term
Rule 41 of the IPWEA NZ Constitution states:
“Elected Board Members shall, unless they resign earlier, be elected for a two year term, with the three longest serving Elected Board Members (as measured from their last date of election) standing down at each Annual General Meeting but being eligible for re-election. If more than three Elected Board Members are elected at an Annual General Meeting then three of those elected shall serve a two year term and the remainder shall serve a one year term. From those elected, the person(s) to serve a one year term will be determined by lot.”

BRANCH CHAIR NOMINATIONS
WE INVITE NOMINATIONS for the following IPWEA NZ Branch Chair positions for which the one-year term will commence at the completion of the 2020 AGM on 25 September 2020.

- Five (5) chairs to be elected for a one-year term
East Coast Branch
Northern South Island Branch
All nominations must be:
proposed and seconded by current financial IPWEA NZ members on the IPWEA NZ nomination form. This shall be accompanied by a written bio of no more than 200 words, together with photo (head shot) emailed to: email@example.com, to be received by 5pm on Wednesday, 26 August 2020.

ELECTION PROCESS AND TIMING
The elections will be carried out by online voting only, between 10am on Monday 31 August and 12 noon on Friday, 18 September 2020. Results of the elections will be announced at the AGM on 25 September 2020.
