Implications of COVID-19 on 2020 IPWEA NZ Events

The IPWEA NZ Board met recently to discuss the implications of COVID-19 on IPWEA NZ's scheduled events for 2020. After careful consideration the Board made the following decisions:

NAMS Forum 2020 - 2 & 3 November

The biennial NAMS Forum 2020 will continue as planned in Rotorua this November.

The theme of NAMS 2020 is Challenges | Opportunities | Connections.

Abstract submissions are currently invited, due July 15th. Click here to find out more.

IPWEA NZ Conference 2020 - 2 - 4 December

The 2020 IPWEA NZ Conference will continue as planned in Dunedin this December.

RIMS Forum 2020 - deferred to 9-10 March 2021

Given the disruptive impact of COVID-19, The Roading Information Management Forum will be postponed until 9-10 2021 in Napier, to ensure the event can effectively meet needs and expectations of the sector.

The Board recognises that there is a strong need, particularly at this time, to continue with face-to-face networking; but also recognises the difficulty that some members may have in being able to attend such events, so the board is currently examining opportunities to stream keynote speakers.
