IPWEA NZ Board Election Results 2018 Announced


Board Election Results were announced on Wednesday 20th of June, at the IPWEA NZ 2018 AGM held at the annual conference in Rotorua.

Congratulations to newly elected Board member Gary Porteous of WSP-Opus.  Gary is the Sector Leader – Transport Asset Management at WSP-Opus, where he has worked for 24 years.  Gary brings a wealth of knowledge to IPWEA NZ, and has been a key member of the Roading Information Management Support (RIMS) committee for several years.

Congratulations to Myles Lind and Al Monro for re-election.  Myles continues as Vice-President for the next 12 months.

Congratulations to Hugh Blake-Manson, Contract Manager of Citycare Water in Christchurch, who now takes up his new role as Northern South Island Branch Chair, replacing John Mackie.

Lisa Roberts and John Mackie have stepped down from the board.

IPWEA NZ acknowledges Lisa’s great contribution to IPWEA NZ during her term on the Board, bringing the perspective of her significant work in our training and development of IPWEA NZ guidance material and publications. Our thanks go to Lisa for her continued support and dedication to the organisation. Lisa will continue to be involved in preparing our best practice documents and training.

We acknowledge John Mackie’s contribution to the organisation as Chairperson of the Northern South Island branch for the last few years. John is on the Board of WaterNZ and presently is very much involved with the water reform issues.
