MB-010 General Conditions of Contract

Dear MB-010 Community Members,

I am pleased to advise that following a recent nominations process, Stuart Bailey has been appointed as IPWEA's representative on the Standards Australia MB-010 General Conditions of Contract Committee.

Stuart is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with more than 30 years' experience across construction and infrastructure in both Australia and New Zealand. His career has included contractor, consultant and client-side roles, and he currently works as an Engineer to Contract, Client Representative and procurement adviser. Many of you may also know Stuart through his presentations at IPWEA conferences and his work supporting capability development across the profession.

As part of his appointment, Stuart has been granted administrator access to this MB-010 Community Forum and will be our primary point of contact for committee-related engagement going forward.

I'd also like to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of Bob Xu, who has diligently represented IPWEA on MB-010 over many years. Bob's commitment to keeping members informed and ensuring the profession's views were represented has been greatly appreciated. Stuart now takes up that mantle and will continue the important work of connecting the committee with the broader IPWEA community.

This forum exists to ensure that IPWEA members have a voice in the development and review of standards. I encourage all members to actively participate by:

• Sharing practical insights and experiences relating to contract conditions and administration.
• Raising industry issues or emerging challenges that may warrant consideration.
• Providing feedback on public consultations, drafts and committee matters as they arise.
• Suggesting topics or areas where the profession would benefit from standards development or review.
