Technical Service Standards for Park, Reserves and Sporting Fields

  • 1.  Technical Service Standards for Park, Reserves and Sporting Fields

    Posted 13 days ago
    Hi,

I have been tasked with investigating technical service standards at other Council managed parks and reserves. Does anyone have written standards that are used by staff to determine when works are carried out and to what standard?

Some of the standards I am looking for include:

    •  How often rubbish bins and emptied and cleaned
    • Graffiti removal
    • Toilet cleaning
    • Mowing and edging
    • Weeding and mulching
    • Tree maintenance
    • Any others you may have

I would also be interested to know if you have similar standards for sporting fields and what they are?

    Regards
    Peter

Natspec has two types of landscaping – open space and adjacent to buildings.

The specifications include "performance requirements" with compulsory intervention levels which can be tailored to suit your council.
