David Hood, Past President of Engineers Australia, has advised:

The "Great Global Kayaking Adventure - Connecting Climate Chaos" has begun.    Water engineer, and Climate Leader Steve Posselt left Engineering House in Canberra this morning on his way to Paris for CoP21.     He arrives in Sydney midday Saturday, 31 January at the Opera House.       Then over to the USA (by Qantas), Up the Mississippi, the Great lakes, and over from brown bear country and down to white bear country and Hudson's bay.      Then across to UK (by Qantas) by canal to London, across the Channel, down the coast of France, and up the Seine to Paris and CoP21....."

David said: "It's all about building awareness of the seriousness of anthropogenic global warming (AGW) and consequent climate change, and telling the world that despite our governments, Australians want serious and immediate action to mitigate climate change.       Follow Steve's journey on http://kayak4earth.com.    It is possible to assist with donations to help fund the venture on the website."
