    Hi everyone,

I would like to hear everyone thoughts on how they where able to standardize there fleet. Especially from the smaller areas that have limited options for locally sourced dealerships.

I have inherited an aged fleet that has pasted its used by date twice over with multiple makes and models in every category of plant for example I have 7 different trucks ranging from Scania's to Kenworths. and nearly every make and model of light vehicle you could possible buy from an auction yard. which has made my current replacement plan into a reactive one (to costly to fix) instead of planned. My direct reports can see the benefits of Standardization, having a smaller stock of filters, other stocked items on the shelf (freight and local business are unreliable here) and specialized service equipment. but the headaches have now started with the small town syndrome for my planed tenders for the next financial year to start my fleet on its slow road to recovery.

any advise on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Brendan
