The City of Gold Coast is currently upgrading its Two Way radio network to a digital platform.
Has any one had recent experience with a digital radio network with current technology, DMR, Tetra, 3G/4G, WiFi?

Hi Steven - Not sure if this is still a question you have, but you could look at the TASGRN (Tasmanian Government Radio Network). There's some public info here at the link below, but I'm also in contact with the project team as we're potential users of the system. I'll send you some info in an email.
TASGRN won't be operational for a few years, but they're at the advanced design phase so probably about as current tech as you'll find. Cheers Robert

    Hi Steven
City of Gold Coast should have access to the Qld Government Wireless Network (GWN) which operates across SE Queensland.
The Government Wireless Network (GWN) is a Project 25 (P25) Phase 2 compliant high capacity trunked radio-communications voice and narrowband data network that assists in improving communications, safety and security for Queensland's Public Safety Agencies and other State entities who have been on-boarded onto the GWN. Its a subscription service under a 15-year contract between Telstra and the State - Telstra provides the infrastructure, network and subscriber equipment and ongoing support and maintenance to those parties.
Suggest you contact the GWN Contract Directorate - ICT Strategic Sourcing | Department of Housing and Public Works for more info.
