    Hello mates

Our Parks, Recreation and Facilities is developing a sponsorship policy.  They have identified the following sponsorship events :
    • Public Skating
    • Public Swimming
    • Drop in days to include
      • Fitness
      • Sport
      • Track
      • Swimming
      • Basketball
    • Fireworks
    • Bouncy Castles for events
    • Entertainment for Events
    • Sledge hockey program
    • PA days
    • Camps
    • Disc Golf – holes or events
    • Field house events and programs

The following physical Assets are where the advertisements/sponsorship will be displayed for the public:

    • Museum exhibits
    • Washroom doors/Urinals/Sinks
    • Walls
    • Future discussion could be hallways  with signage where the vending machines sit etc.
    • Chairs and furniture in the lobbies

Could somebody provide me the replacement costs for the following physical structures:

    • Ice Rinks
    • Dasherboards
    • Baseball Diamonds
    • Soccer fields
    • Tennis Court
    • Pavilions/ Picnic shelter/ Park Structures/Gazebo/ Band shell
    • Gateway Entrances/ Features
    • Trails
I am looking at an average replacement costs for the above assets which I can provide to the team. As of now , we are just in the infancy stage of asset management that we are hopefully be building a Asset Management inventory in the next 9 months.

    Hi Arun,
You might find it useful to get a copy of IPWEA's Parks Practice Note 10.2 which covers the subject of parks and recreation asset valuation, to help you develop your understanding and approach to asset valuation.

The other Parks Practice Notes (10.1 -10.4) will also provide you with practical advice to help guide your development of asset management practices.

These are available from the IPWEA website, IPWEA Bookshop - Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia
And they're 25% off until the end of Feb!
