Waste Collection Vehicles

    ​Hi All,

    Just wanted to check if your Council does in-house Domestic Waste Collection Service; if so, can you advise what type of plant items you have and the number of items you maintain.

    The City of Wanneroo does internal waste collections and has approx. 50 units completing Domestic, Recycling , Verge collection services . Domestic and Recycling Trucks are currently Iveco whilst use Hino & Isuzu in the other applications . A well managed waste service in-house service is cost effective compared to market

    Yes we do waste collect here in Ballina. We currently operator 5 x 30m3 Side Load trucks with superiorpac bodies.

    Hi Regina
    Griffith City Council own 2 Side loading waste compactors used for domestic waste collection.  1 x International Acco fitted with a MacDonald Johnston Engineering body and the other is a Dennis Eagle cab chassis fitted with a Superior Pak body.  Council also have a rear loading waste compactor that is capable of collecting bins from 120 litres up to 1100 litres in capacity.  This truck is used for some commercial waste collection and also for some domestic collection in tight areas where the side loaders have difficulty.

    RRC still does in-house domestic waste collection.  The fleet comprises 10 side-loader trucks and 2 rear loader trucks.

    ​Hi Regina.

    Here at Onkaparinga we collect Domestic Waste in house and contract out the collection of Organics and Recycling.
    We own and operate 14 Side loaders (Bucher bodies on Isuzu Cab Chassis primarily)
    Collect from 73,000 properties approx. 38,000 tonnes per annum of Domestic Waste
    We also collect Hard Waste and Illegally Dumped Rubbish in house with 2 Rear loader compactors.
