Am interested in which makes/models/brands of zero turn mowers (various deck sizes) organisations tend to go with. Whether there is a combination of brands or if continuity is rated highly?
City of Karratha has a combination of Kubota's (ZD 221 & ZD326P) in the zero turn range.
Pros and cons of your choice of machines would be appreciated also.
Open to one on one communication if you prefer.
Merry Xmas & safe and prosperous New Year to all the Fleet Community.
Bundaberg Regional Council has a few different brands with different Deck sizes, they are as follows;
Pros. It is a heavy duty machine that can handle mostly any terrain. It’s fitted with a Diesel Yanmar engine with plenty of go. 200HR service intervals are great. Awesome parts supply, being John Deere.
Cons. Main downside is it has alloy spindles, they wear pretty quickly.
Pros. Parts are Good quality and stocked through our local dealer (might have to check with yours). Produces a good even cut.
Cons. Not suited for very harsh terrains, Deck isn’t as tough as the Hustler X-One. 50HR service intervals.
Pros. Being hustler parts are the same as the Raptor, good quality and stocked. The deck is really heavy duty and has good quality spindles. Large fuel capacity (2 tanks). Produces a Good clean cut and can handle the thicker bush. It is fitted with a V-Twin Kawasaki petrol engine. Access to wholesale service parts (filters, blades, belts etc.)
Cons. 50HR service Intervals.
We have had Kubota ZG zero turns in the past as well as TORO’s. We moved away from them as we found they weren’t up to the task and couldn’t back up with Warranty, spares and service. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.
