How hard is it?
- You look at the odometer before you get out of the cab
- You fill the fuel tank
- You give the console operator the fuel card
- You TELL THE CONSOLE OPERATOR THE ODOMETER READING!
However, this “complicated and onerous” process is apparently too much for many drivers.
Just for background, we need the odometer reading of your car, ute, truck etc. so we can ensure it is maintained properly, understand its utilisation and plan for its replacement.
By the way – having a guess doesn’t help! It’s amazing when I look at fuel reports how many odometer readings are round numbers – 25,000, 10,000 and so on. Sometimes the numbers even go backwards! If you think we don’t see what’s going on, you’re dreaming. If you forget the reading – JUST HAVE ANOTHER LOOK!
